I recently completed my Ph.D. at the Center for Complex Systems under the supervision of Drs. Ashkaan Fahimipour and Mark Bailey. I was focused on and remain interested in general learning algorithms and in particular artificial intelligence alignment.
Previously I was an Artificial Intelligence Safety Coach for 80,000 Hours where I helped undergraduate students at top universities across the world decide whether to pursue research oriented careers.
During graduate school, I worked as an AI Safety Fellow at Florida Atlantic University's Center for the Future Mind and briefly completed a internship at the Naval Postgraduate School's Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
This website is inspired by Seth for Privacy's "Opt Out Pod website". Here I combine his "Paper Mod" theme with a Rust-based static site generator, Zola. The local search page is in beta with additional improvements planned.
